Established in 1965 and dubbed "The Mecca of Bodybuilding,” this is the original Gold’s Gym, made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1977 film, “Pumping Iron.” At any given time of the day, celebrities, professional body builders, and average joes work out side-by-side to blaring rock music in a state-of-the-art, fully-mirrored, 48,000-square-foot facility. A couple of neighborhood regulars include actors Ray Liotta and Ted Danson. Gold’s Gym is the largest co-ed gym chain in the world with nearly 3 million members and 600 locations.
