Welcome to Hollywood & Highland. This mega shopping and entertainment center opened in 2001, and cost $94 million to construct. It consists of over 640,000 square feet of retail space that houses a variety of internationally recognized stores, restaurants, nightclubs, a six-screen cinema (adjacent to the world-famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre) and the 640-room Hollywood Renaissance Hotel. The Kodak Theatre, on the first floor, is the new home of the Academy Awards—guided tours are offered daily, pointing out the significant architectural and historical highlights of the venue, as well as an inside look at Oscar night.
