Always open; lifeguards present during daylight hours.
Zuma Beach is one of the most picturesque stretches of sand in Southern California. Expanding as far as the eye can see, this beach is rarely crowded, and therefore popular with locals looking to get away from the throng of tourists in Redondo, Venice, and Santa Monica. Jagged cliffs attract rock-climbers and the crash of the Pacific draws surfers and ocean lovers into the waves which are clearer—and cooler—than at the city-side beaches. Dolphins and sometimes sharks are seen swimming offshore.
